Winter Sailing Series

• The Winter Series is designed to continue to offer an opportunities for boats to race on a regular basis. All boats registered for the 2023 – 2024 season are considered registered and eligible to enter.
• The emphasis of the winter series is to support new crew development
• Only crew are eligible for awards, not owners or boats.
• Boats not registered with the club must register using the Vessel Registration Process
• All Members are eligible to sail
• Temporary Memberships (SailPass) are available for visiting crew.
  
  GET SAILPASS
• Medallions will be presented to participating crew for 1st 2nd and 3rd calculated on places in races after handicap adjustment
• Crew are encouraged to move to a range of different vessels through the series
• To be eligible for an award, crew must sail on two or more vessels and complete more than half of the races completed in the series.
• QLYC Standard Courses from 2021 will be used, or laid courses
• Briefings would be at 11:00 Start time at 12:30

Saturdays 3-week intervals May to Aug

The following dates are advertised:

May 18, June 8, June 29, July 20, Aug 10, Aug 31

Note: when a race is postponed due to weather conditions the race will be restaged the following Saturday. Where this subsequent race is also postponed it will be restaged the next Saturday. Where a second supplementary is postponed, it shall be declared abandoned altogether.
